DoodlyBoo (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the DoodlyBoo mobile application (“App”).

Children’s Privacy

DoodlyBoo is designed for families and is intended to be used by children with parental supervision.

  • We do not engage in behavioral advertising or tracking of children
  • We do not collect precise location data
  • A parental gate (math challenge) is in place for the following actions: signing in, purchasing credits or subscribing, deleting an account, enabling public gallery visibility, and changing a gallery name
  • Parents are responsible for supervising their children’s use, including any photos taken or uploaded through the App. DoodlyBoo is not responsible for personal or private photos that a child may capture or upload without parental supervision

We take a strict, zero-tolerance approach to protecting children on our platform. We actively monitor and moderate content, and we encourage all users and parents to report anything they consider inappropriate. While no system can guarantee the prevention of all harmful content, we are committed to taking every possible measure to keep DoodlyBoo safe and clean for families.

Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name and email — provided through Apple Sign In or Google Sign In
  • Public Gallery Name — an optional display name you may choose to show alongside your public drawings. This is separate from your account name and is entirely your choice. If you don’t set one, your public drawings will appear without a name
  • Language and timezone — for localization purposes

User-Generated Content

  • Drawings — photos of drawings you upload for transformation
  • AI-generated content — images, videos, and voiceovers created from your drawings
  • Custom prompts — text you provide for video or voice generation

Purchase Data

  • Transaction records, product type, and pricing (processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
  • No credit card or direct payment information is stored by us

Usage Data

  • App usage information (anonymized)
  • Device platform (iOS/Android)
  • IP address (for security and rate limiting)

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide AI transformation services (photo, video, and voice generation)
  • To process purchases and manage your credits and subscriptions
  • To display content in the public gallery (when you choose to share)
  • To moderate content and enforce community guidelines
  • To provide customer support
  • To prevent abuse and ensure platform security

When you choose to make a drawing public:

  • Your drawing and its AI-generated results become visible to all users
  • If you have set a Public Gallery Name, it will be displayed alongside your public drawings
  • Other users can like your public content
  • You can make content private again at any time
  • Users can report inappropriate content, which is reviewed by our team

Third-Party Services

We use the following types of third-party services to operate the App:

  • AI processing providers — your drawings and prompts are sent to third-party AI services to generate photo, video, and voice transformations. These providers process your content solely for generating your requested output and do not retain it beyond the processing period.
  • Cloud storage — all media files (drawings and generated content) are stored on secure cloud servers.
  • Payment processing — in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled through Apple and Google’s respective platforms. A third-party service validates and manages purchase records.
  • Authentication — sign-in is handled through Apple and Google.

Data Storage and Security

  • All data is stored on secure cloud servers
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We implement rate limiting, input sanitization, and authentication safeguards
  • Access is restricted and monitored

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is only shared with the service providers described above, solely for the purpose of operating the App.

Data Retention

  • Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
  • Deleted drawings are removed from storage within 30 days
  • Upon account deletion, personal data is wiped within 15 days and media files are permanently removed
  • Anonymized purchase records may be retained for accounting purposes

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time through the App by going to Settings > Delete Account.

  • There is a 15-day processing period during which your account is deactivated
  • After 15 days, your personal data, drawings, and generated content are permanently deleted
  • This action is irreversible — data cannot be recovered
  • An optional deletion reason may be collected to help us improve
  • Account deletion may be delayed if the account is under review for a potential Terms violation. In such cases, the retention period may extend up to 60 days. If a violation is found, the deletion request is cancelled and the account is blocked from your access. We may retain the account under our supervision for as long as we deem necessary, and will proceed with deletion once the review is concluded
