Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the DoodlyBoo mobile application (“App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Age Requirements

DoodlyBoo is designed for families. A parental gate (math challenge) is required before signing in, purchasing credits or subscribing, deleting an account, enabling public gallery visibility, and changing a gallery name. This gate is intended to confirm awareness and responsibility but does not guarantee parental involvement. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children’s use of the App, including any purchases made and any photos taken or uploaded. The App requires access to the device camera or photo library to function. DoodlyBoo is not responsible for personal, private, or inappropriate photos that a child may capture or upload without parental supervision, including any such content that may become visible through the public gallery.

3. Account

You may create an account using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account credentials with others.

4. Acceptable Use

The App is for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:

  • Upload inappropriate, harmful, violent, or sexually explicit content
  • Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Use the App to generate harmful, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the App
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or circumvent any security features
  • Spam, harass, or abuse other users

5. Content Ownership and Licensing

Your Drawings

You retain ownership of the original drawings you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process your drawings through our AI services.

AI-Generated Content

Images, videos, and voiceovers generated from your drawings are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share and download your generated content.

By sharing content in the public gallery, you grant DoodlyBoo a limited license to display your drawings and their AI-generated results to other users. You also grant us the right to feature your public creations in promotional materials, including our website, social media, and app store listings. No personal information will be associated with featured content. You can remove your content from the public gallery at any time by making it private. However, making a drawing private does not revoke the promotional license granted while it was public.

You may optionally set a Public Gallery Name that will appear alongside your public drawings. This name is separate from your account display name and is publicly visible. You may change or remove your Public Gallery Name up to 2 times per week — removing the name counts as a change. Content guidelines apply to your Public Gallery Name — we reserve the right to remove or reset any name that is inappropriate, misleading, or violates these Terms. Using an inappropriate name may result in account suspension.

6. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

  • Review, remove, or block any content that violates these Terms
  • Suspend or block accounts that repeatedly violate our guidelines
  • Take appropriate action on reported content

Users can report inappropriate content or other users. Blocked accounts cannot access the App.

7. Credits and Purchases

Credit System

DoodlyBoo uses a credit-based system. Photo transformations, video generation, and voiceovers each consume credits. You receive 1 free credit upon sign-up.

Credit Packs

Credits can be purchased through in-app credit packs. Purchased credits are non-refundable and non-transferable, but they never expire.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are final and non-refundable. They are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your device’s subscription settings — you’ll retain access until the current billing period ends. Subscription credits reset on each renewal. No prorated refunds are given for unused subscription periods. In some cases, Apple or Google may issue a refund at their discretion — this will result in immediate revocation of the subscription and all associated benefits. If we detect abuse of the refund process, we reserve the right to permanently block the user’s account without prior warning.

Refund Policy

Credit purchases and subscriptions are final. Refund requests are handled according to Apple and Google’s respective store policies.

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account through the App at any time (Settings > Delete Account).

  • There is a 15-day processing period; deletion is irreversible
  • All unused credits are forfeited and not refundable
  • Active subscriptions are not automatically cancelled — you must cancel them separately through your device’s subscription settings
  • After the processing period, all personal data and content are permanently removed

We reserve the right to delay or prevent account deletion if the account is under review for a potential violation of these Terms. In such cases, relevant content may be retained for investigation and evidentiary purposes.

9. Service Availability

  • The App is provided on an “as is” basis with no guaranteed uptime
  • AI generation quality and results may vary
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently block any account at any time, without prior warning, if we detect a violation of these Terms or any behaviour that threatens the safety of our community. Upon suspension or termination:

  • All unused credits are immediately forfeited and are not refundable
  • Any active subscriptions and their benefits are revoked
  • Access to the App is permanently disabled
  • Content associated with the account may be removed

We reserve the right to retain any content that has been removed or blocked for violation of these Terms, for purposes including but not limited to legal compliance, dispute resolution, and platform safety enforcement.

DoodlyBoo is designed for children and families, and we take a strict, zero-tolerance approach to any violations that compromise the safety of our platform.

11. Community Safety

We are committed to keeping DoodlyBoo a safe and friendly environment for children and families. We take all possible measures to prevent inappropriate and abusive content from appearing on our platform. However, no system is perfect — we cannot guarantee that all such content will be caught automatically. We encourage all users and parents to report any content they consider inappropriate. Your reports help us keep the platform safe and clean for everyone.

12. Intellectual Property

The DoodlyBoo name, logo, mascot, and all associated branding are our intellectual property. The App’s design, code, and AI integrations are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DoodlyBoo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. We are not responsible for:

  • AI output that does not meet your expectations
  • Content created by other users in the public gallery
  • Losses due to account deletion or service changes

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App.
